Last week, Apple officially launched the seventh version of its operating system. iOS7 brings a lot of UX innovation as well as a major overhaul of the UI. A lot of companies have been busy making changes to their mobile applications in order to be ready for the big day.

iOS 7 adoption, just 24 hours after the launch is already at 40%, and we expect it to reach 80% in 30 days. That’s a lot of users expecting their favorite apps to work on the new operating system! There are a number of mobile app developers and testers still using mobile automation products that require the jailbreaking of the devices. Guess how they’re going to test the new version of their app on iOS7? Manually!

This manual effort is going to cost them time and money; they have hundreds of automated tests that they can’t run! And it is not the first time that they have had this or a similar problem. When iOS6 came out, they had to wait more than 90 days for a stable jailbreaking hack to be available. Which is the same situation that they’re facing today. And they might never be able to run their automated tests on iOS7 since Apple is making jailbreaking more and more difficult, version after version.

TouchTest doesn’t have this issue. TouchTest does not require you to jailbreak your mobile devices, and we’ve been supporting iOS7 from day one of the beta life-cycle, back in early June. We’ve worked flawlessly with some of our customers who wanted to be ready for the D-Day. TouchTest, of course, supports the final version of iOS7, and you can start automating your tests TODAY.

Best way to get started with TouchTest and iOS7? Get access to our free version, TouchTest Lite, right now and start automating your tests to make sure your application is ready for iOS7!
